The Ceramic Workshop
When I first read the theme for the jam I thought about what could be done with it and immediately my mind went to the artisans that I've seen and their incredible work and considered what I could bring to life. The first option that came to mind was something made of wood, as those are the ones I've seen the most of but after carefully thinking about it I decided to go with ceramic.
Although wood works are absolutely breathtaking in their own right, there is something about ceramic that absolutely intrigues me and find absolutely fascinating how it's made. A week or so before the jam, I saw a man that used this art to create ocarinas, I even heard one of them play one of the songs from Ocarina of Time, which also pushed me to pick this for my jam submission.
However, I didn't want to just create a single object and be done with it and that's why I decided to create a scene that somehow showcased the art of ceramic making. With that idea in mind I decided to create a room that an artisan could possibly use for his craft.
For the creation of this scene I used the the webpage of "The Ceramic Shop" to see some items that are used to make ceramics and also to get their measurements so that they could be depicted in the scene as accurately as possible. Also for the materials of the plates, cups, clay block, ceramic figure(a process in the making for the scenes artisan), and vase were all made using tutorials for Procedural Materials from "Ryan King Art".
The software that was used for the creation of the scene was Blender.

I like the story behind why you created this, you've made the perfect example of taking the theme and using it to express something uniquely to you : )) I know a few things about putting together ceramics, so I can appreciate the kiln you got in the corner. Lovely job!
